Our Core Values

"When I started PineRock, a friend gave me a copy of Jim Collin’s book, Built to Last.  I was struck by Collin’s findings that successful companies over the long haul shared one common trait: an articulated culture. This idea surprised me but also rang true. So, on my next business trip, I jotted down what I believed PineRock’s core values should be. They were all centered around doing great work with high integrity. I wanted our values to function almost like a ‘Bill of Rights’ with a gravity of their own, so our culture could become stronger than any individual personality, myself included. I wanted every employee to know they would be encouraged and supported to make decisions consistent with our values under any circumstance. 

What’s been most fascinating, is the enduring nature of the values we chose in the very beginning. After twenty years in business, I recently became curious to know if the newer generation of employees would find our current values relevant. Despite the changing face and age of our workforce, and the changes in technology, our fundamental values of respectful collaboration are as valid today as ever. We didn’t have to change a single one. Great values are timeless." Ed Romanoff
